International make-up artist Bobbi Brown's campaign promotes women's empowerment through beauty.

International make-up artist, Bobbi Brown, has launched a limited edition product that aims to give back 100%, as part of her initiative, Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women and Girls.

By purchasing Pretty Powerful Pink, a pot rouge for lips and cheeks, women aim to donate $25.00 to one of four initiatives geared towards women’s empowerment. These include Dress for Success, HER FUND, Open Closet and HeartBeat.

Announcing the launch of the Pretty Powerful campaign, Bobbi Brown wrote “my motivation, as a makeup artist and as the founder of my company, has always been to help women be confident and feel comfortable being themselves”. The campaign, which aims to raise funds via Globalgiving.org, was launched in commemoration of International Women’s Day. “What began as a message about the power of beauty is now a full-fledged global initiative to empower women and girls around the world with the confidence and resources to be their best,” wrote Brown.

#PrettyPowerful has taken Twitter by storm. Olympic gold medalist Jessica Ennis CBE tweeted “Proud to support @BobbiBrowns’s #prettypowerful campaign for women & girls. RT if u believe in empowering women”.

BBC Radio 6 DJ Lauren Laverne also expressed her support, tweeting: “Wearing this today. Cute new product from @bobbibrown supporting @dress4successUK #prettypowerful.”

Last year, Bobbi Brown released her seventh book titled “Pretty Powerful: Beauty Stories to Inspire Confidence”, which is filled with motivational stories of women, celebrities and athletes and about what beauty means to them.
