I like going to school very much! The teachers are friendly and kind and they help me learn new things.
My favourite subjects are Maths and Science. I like Maths because I find numbers interesting. When I go shopping with my dad we play the ‘adding up game.’ In this game I may have to add up how much some of the things we are buying will cost. I also work out how much the discount is on special offers. I use my times tables to find out the cost of similar things.
In science we have been learning about electricity. We have also learnt about different types of materials like paper and cardboard. I really enjoy doing the experiments in class.
I aim to go on school trips every year. My first trip was to Odds Farm. We went there on a coach and had a lot of fun feeding the animals. We also went to the RAF Museum in Hendon where we made paper planes. We also visited a church near my school.
In class assembly we perform shows for parents and other children. We practice this for many weeks. If we have done good work in class we may get a certificate from the headmistress. I have three certificates.
I have French lessons where I sing songs and play fun games that might help me remember the words. I would like to go to France one day and speak to other French children.
My teacher aims to give me homework every Friday. I frequently do my homework in my homework book. I may have a spelling test every week and I aim to study a lot for it. I want to work hard and do well at school.
I play many sports at school and my favourites are tennis, table tennis and swimming. I also enjoy cycling and running. Playing sports is seemingly fun.
When I grow up I want to become a doctor to help make people feel better.
