Slabs London is a new exciting restaurant welcomed into the London scene. Mixed with the excellent food it is served on unique slabs which enables the restaurant to stand out from its competitors.
Their menu offers combinations of European, American, and Asian tastes, all in one meal. Michelin star owner Steve Christou has had much experience in the restaurant industry. Slabs is his fifteenth restaurant in London and his vast experience is proven through the in-depth menu.
Stone slabs instead of plates are used for most of the food they served. It also leads to the origins of the restaurant’s name, which is located in Marylebone. The atmosphere is brilliant and this place is busy considering it is the first location to be opened in Marylebone. Slabs is very modern, stylish and atmospheric. It is warm, cosy and the aromas from the fresh cooked meals linger to tease the customers. The warm welcome of the fantastic staff puts everyone in a good mood and what is more they are very attentive and amicable.
The restaurant decided to take burgers and seafood into a higher level. The menu is compound from combinations of European and American tastes with the hint of Asia. There are unusual Chinese sauces, traditional French Fois Gras, New York Style cheesecake or Italian tiramisu cocktails.
The menu offers many variations of burgers. The most attractive is lobster burger. It is made of lobster tail and soft shell crab. Spanish burger is also very popular and it is made of classical minced chorizo sausage, beef and Serrano ham.
Halal is also available and Slabs offers many toppings for burgers such as smoked applewood cheddar, stilton or manchego which is a special cheese made from sheep milk. Sauces such as a béarnaise, peppercorn, aioli or blue cheese are available for burgers. Their delicacy is Slab salad which is a combination of crispy duck, spring onions, fresh cucumber, crispy wontons and warm hoisin sauce is delicately poured over it. It is a special Chinese dipping sauce which is not very often used in London restaurants. It has a strong taste and it is most commonly served with any duck dish.
Slabs daily specials and menus offer great prices with dishes starting at £6.95 for a meal. The menu is enriching and breakfast will be available shortly with dishes such as a smoked salmon with the poached egg. Families with children will appreciate that Slabs offer a children´s menu which includes the intriguing homemade breaded cod fingers.
