Straddling over four decades in music, Thereza Bazar proves longevity in the world of pop
Step back to the 1970s when Guys n Dolls were topping the charts with tracks such as “A Whole Lot of Loving,’ then whizz forward half a decade and the same artists were scoring smash hits again, this time under the guise of ‘Dollar.’ The one constant across both of these bands was the talented and stunning Thereza Bazar, who had the looks, voice and charisma to capture the nation’s attention time and time again.
Take a gigantic leap into 2013 and nearly 25 years on, Thereza is proving that she’s still got what it takes to make an explosion on the music industry as she launches her brand new pop babies, Goodbye Charlie. With the wisdom and creative talent of Thereza behind them, these girls are filling a much sought after gap in the British girl band pop arena.
Goodbye Charlie are a gorgeous new UK female pop trio with a fresh vibrant approach delivered in the form of their debut single, ‘Hold Me On The Dancefloor’ (HMOTDF) which is released on 18 November.
So please welcome Cassie, Oriana and Jess – who come together as Goodbye Charlie. The name originates from the 70s TV show Charlie’s Angels; for a while the girls had a remote phone/skype relationship with one of their managers who lived abroad and the ‘goodbye Charlie’ tag line instantly stuck.
A close-knit friendship with an electrifying on-stage chemistry, each girl brings a different strength to the band, fusing to make one incredibly sassy pop explosion. With the wisdom of manager Thereza Bazar firmly behind them, the girls have solid foundations to catapult them to success. Thereza’s invaluable experience with 80s duo, Dollar, means that she’s hands-on with everything, including writing and production alongside her 23-year-old son, Al Bazar.
‘Hold Me On The Dancefloor’ is a delicious up-beat slice of pure dance/pop, an exciting music explosion that traverses easily from radio to dance floor. With production from Al Bazar and dance remixes supplied by 7th Heaven, ‘HMOTDF’ is already getting good responses from DJs across Europe
It’s Goodbye Charlie and hello success – let’s welcome the girls!
