A Knight in shining armour launches the Tower of London’s new nationwide competition to find one drawing to cover the east face of the 90ft high iconic White Tower in 2008 whilst crucial conservation work goes on underneath. As well as exposure to the 2 million people that visit the Tower each year, plus countless millions of Londoners and tourists, the winner will also enjoy £200 worth of tuition at The Prince’s Drawing School. The winning drawing will combine skill and storytelling to capture the drama, intrigue and significance of the White Tower, which was started by William the Conqueror in 1075 and has played a central role in British history ever since.
